DAI: punctate hemorrhages at the corticomedullary junctions, corpus callosum, upper brainstem
PRES: patchy hypodense foci (NECT & T1WI); predilection for the posterior circulation. BG is less common, rarely brainstem.
Amyloid: multifocal hemorrhage; juxtacortical and cerebellar with relative sparing of deep gray nuclei and brainstem.
